D00 – Microeconomics-General
The Department of Economics invites applications for a
tenure track position at the assistant professor rank. We are looking for an empirical economist
working in a field such as environment, poverty and inequality, or health. The ability to teach applied econometrics at
the graduate level will be an important consideration. The duties include teaching a total of four
courses each year, actively pursuing a research program, participating on
committees, and collaborating with other faculty doing applied work. Our department encourages heterodox and
interdisciplinary teaching and socially relevant research. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2008,
subject to final budgetary approval. The
successful candidate must have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment to rank of
assistant professor. To be considered
