Master’s Program Admissions
The admission requirements for the MS degree in economics are:
1. Completion of all work required for a bachelor's degree.
2. GPA of 3.0 or better.
3. Successful completion with a B or better of Intermediate Microeconomic Analysis (ECON 4010 or equivalent), Intermediate Macroeconomic Analysis (ECON 4020 or equivalent), and Principles of Econometrics (ECON 4650 or equivalent).
4. Acceptable scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
5. Three academic letters of reference.
6. A personal statement of academic goals.
7. TOEFL score of 550 or better (or IBT equivalent) for international students.

Application Deadlines
Masters Program admissions committee reviews applications throughout the year. It is preferable to start the Masters program in the Fall, however, it is possible to apply for Fall or Spring. The application deadline for Fall admission is April 1st, and for Spring admission is November 1st.

The list below includes all the information that you need to apply to the MS program. The items on this list are linked to downloadable forms (readable with Acrobat Reader) and additional information. Please note that the two different mailing addresses that apply.
1. Application form (mail to the Admissions Office).
2. Application processing fee (mail to the Admissions Office).
3. Official school transcripts (mail to the Admissions Office).
4. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score, if English is not your first language (mail to the Admissions Office).
5. Three letters of recommendation (mail to the Department of Economics).
6. Statement of personal academic goals (mail to the Department of Economics).
7. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (mail to the Department of Economics).
