HOW TO REGISTER
- Access
the website http://www.utah.edu. This is the University of Utah home
page.
- Highlight
Students in the red box on the
right.
- Click
on Registration & Records
in the black box.
- Next
you see a page with many options related to student records.
- Click
on Campus Information System.
- Enter your User ID. Then enter your Password.
Click continue
- Click
on Main Menu.
- Click
on Add Classes
- Choose
the appropriate semester and year.
- To Add Classes by Class Number
- Select
that button and click continue
- Enter
the class number and click Add
Class.
- Click
OK to Add.
- To
Add Classes by Class Schedule
- Select
that button and click continue
- From
schedule, choose appropriate department
- Click
on Class Number (left column)
- Click
on Ok to Add
- To
check if a class has seats available
- From
the schedule, click on the Catalog
Number (note section number if there are multiple sections – it will
show them all).
- The
right hand column shows number of seats available.
- To get
a description of the class
- Click
on Subject (ex: ECON). Note Catalog and Section numbers.
- If a class is full (economics)
- Permission
codes are given out either by the instructor or the department
office. Either contact the
instructor to be added to the class, or go to class the first day to see
if it will be possible to add.
- Permission
codes are available after the first week of class.
- To Drop a Class
- From
the main menu, choose Drop Classes.
- Choose
the appropriate semester.
- Click
continue.
- Click
on Drop, located under the
appropriate class number.
- Click
OK to Drop.
- Verify that the course has been dropped
by reviewing your class schedule (see step 16).
- Once a class is dropped, it may not
be possible to add it to your schedule again (classes fill up
quickly). Be certain that you do
not intend to take a class before you drop it.
- To View your Class Schedule
- From
the main menu choose View your
Class Schedule.
- Choose
the appropriate semester and year, then click continue.
