I am a PhD student in the Department of Economics at the University of Utah, expecting to defend in spring 2013. My work focuses on the application of heterodox methods of economic analysis. I use graphical models of causality in my empirical work, and Sraffian input/output models lie at the center of my microeconomic theory. Though I have worked in health economics, my dissertation focuses on return to prison of parolees and probationers. I hope this work in crime will lead to studies in education. My teaching speciality is quantitative-intensive classes. I have taught MathEcon (ECON 3620), Prob/Stats (ECON 3640), and Intermediate Micro (ECON 4010). |
