I grew up in
Wickenburg, Arizona, but I have a special fondness for my birthplace Boise,
Idaho. My husband Michael and I have two children. Brianna
is twelve and Ryan is six. I am currently a PhD. student at the
University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

My current research focuses on injuries and safety in the trucking and
construction industries. These industries are both
male-dominated, blue collar industries that have experienced
subcontracting, the use of immigrant workers, and a shortage of American
workers to fill the open positions. These industries are both
susceptible to the high-road/low-road discussion with regards to how
management treats the workers. Follow the research link above to
